Welcome to the St. Clair County Child Advocacy Center Web Site. I am Carolyn Hubler, Executive Director of the Center.


I hope you will find this site interesting and full of helpful information about our Child Advocacy Center (CAC). The CAC is a non-profit organization which coordinates the multi-disciplinary response to the sexual and serious physical abuse of children. The agency also serves children who have witnessed violent crime. The CAC opened in 2000.
 






 

The Multi-disciplinary team consists of:

  • An investigator from the police agency having jurisdiction over the case
  • A Department of Children and Family Services Investigator
  • An Assistant States Attorney
  • A Case Manager/Advocate
  • Mental Health Professionals
  • Medical Professionals
  • Child Advocacy Center Staff

Each agency has an important role in helping the child.

The Child Advocacy Center provides a child friendly atmosphere and a specially trained interviewer. The interview is witnessed by team members responsible for the investigation of the case. The child and their family are supported throughout the investigative process by the team and the CAC staff.
